DOUGLAS BULLIS is a writer, editor, and current owner of Atelier Books, a full service book production firm serving international publishers with interests in the Southeast Asian market. Bullis has written and published more than 200 articles on topics ranging from art and cultural history to business, country investment, and technology transfer. He is the author of two previous Quorum books, "Doing Business in Today's India" (1998) and "Selling to India's Consumer Market" (1997).

Beautifully produced coffee table art book

I also bought, "100 Painters of New York" by this publisher. It was interesting to see the difference between the two books with their different authors. I enjoyed them both, but it was funny to see how perfectly they echoed their geographic zeitgeist... laid back, (no resume flaunting), wild and crazy West Coast, versus, up tight, status conscious (boring reading of awards and shows), New York.

The artist I was expecting to be in the book was not. What is there is an interesting survey of West Coast artists.

This is old

Nowhere in the script above does it tell you that this is the 2004 edition. I was searching for the artists included in the 2010 edition (published in 2009) and bought this by mistake. I feel cheated.
