Since World War II, the sexy pin-up girl has been a staple of photographers all over the world. Now, in a tribute to the vixens of the 40's and 50's comes "Contemporary Pin-Up Photography" by Tom Denlick (Schiffer). What Denlick has done is compile the work of a host of modern day photographers whose inspiration is not the nude images of a host of "art" photographers, but rather the more tongue-in-cheek, almost cheesecake style photos that periodically enjoy a renaissance in the modern day portfolio. Photographers like Bob Bullard, Robert Alvarado, Roy Varga, Denlick and others capture images of women with their hair up, lips glossed and just the right amount of polka-dots. Of course, one of the essential elements is the Suzy Cheesecake, ooh-aah expression on the girl's faces and with 256 pages of these pin-up cuties, there is plenty to go around.

Great Coffee Table Book

Like the title says it's a great book for your coffee table. It takes you on a journey revisiting classic pin-up to modern pin-up. I love the beautiful color photos. There is even a directory in the back to get in touch with the photographers. This would make a great addition to your home!
Drawbacks: I wish there was more classic pin-up in it and I wish they would have listed contact details for all the models in the book instead of just the photographers.
