Everything you wante to know about the Gretsch 6120

I may be slightly biased as my own Gretsch Chet Atkins "Nashville" features in a few photos in this book, but even so I am astounded at the depth of knowledge Ed Ball has brought to this fine book. There is love and passion for his subject from page one, with little-known facts brought to the surface, a broad history of Fred Gretsch Jr, a decade-by-decade investigation of upgrades and changes to the marque, a look at the famous guitarists who have played it - including, of course, Chet Atkins - and many, many beautiful photographs of what must be one of the most beautiful guitars ever designed.

Aside from the fact that Ed Ball is a friend of mine, this book is the one you must have in your collection if you are a fan of the best guitar in the world, the GreTscH 6120. Ed did tons of research with industry pros, Gretsch employees and Fred Gretsch III himself to make sure that the reader of this book got the true facts about the 6120. This is the Bible of Gretsch books.
The photos too are just magnificent. You won't find a better more accurate and more entertaining book about the Gretsch 6120 than this one.

Definitive Study of the Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins

Thank-you Ted Ball for creating the definitive record of the Gretsch model 6120 Chet Atkins guitar. This well written and fabulously illustrated book takes you through the evolution of the 6120 and gives insightful particulars about all manufacturing batches and many, many individual instruments. A must for the Gretsch fan. Hopefully, Mr. Ball will soon do the same for other popular guitars.
